C.F. & J. Brailey Limited is
proved to be recognised as one of the UK's leading lightning
protection and steeplejack contracting companies.
The name Brailey has been
associated with high rise contracting for over fifty years, during
this time accumulating a wealth of experience which has been
passed on down through the family business. The present management
team headed by Colin F. Brailey is capable of passing on the
benefits of this experience to our customers.
C.F. & J. Brailey Limited is a
member of the National Federation of Master Steeplejacks and
Lightning Conductor Engineers - Membership No. 9503 and are
committed to supplying a quality service at compatible and fair
prices.
With the introduction of The
British Standard Code of Practice 6651:1992, re-issued as
BS6651:1999 "Protection of Structures Against Lightning"
which replaced CP 326:1965 lightning protection was no longer a
case of "sticking" a lightning rod on top of the highest
part of the building and "dangling" an earthing strip
and hoping for the best.
|
BS6651:1999 clearly defines
what a building requires in order that it may be adequately
protected against a lightning discharge which is backed up by
risk assessment tables.
Here at Braileys this criteria
has been computerised allowing us to provide accurate "in
house" risk assessment in the event of any one building
in the U.K. being struck by lightning. This service is
provided free of charge to all our customers.
Health & Safety
Here at Braileys health and
safety has always been at the top of our agenda, whether it be
a small project or a large contract that may run for one or
two years, the same attention is given to the importance of
safety and our monitoring of same. |
